Our finely crafted jewelry boxes are made by the skillful and experienced craftsmen out of the hard-to-find burl of the monkey pod wood. With the richness of their natural burl grain, you will enjoy these eye pleasing boxes.

In our collection, the boxes come in five different sizes. Due to the limited supply of our burl wood, our small- to medium-sized boxes are assembled mainly out of the solid burls on almost every side; but, for the large-sized boxes, only their tops are covered by the solid burl piece.

The boxes are all made of either the solid burls or wood of the monkey pod trees and no other types of wood are used.

The monkey pod wood, in this part of the world, comes from a tropical tree, known to be widespread in the Southeast Asian region, especially in Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. It is considered as the hardwood, harder than its popular teak. Despite its exotic burl, we normally make use of this kind of wood for a variety of purposes. We normally find less of its valuable burl from the same kind of tree in the southern part of Thailand and the countries lower in latitudes than that of Thailand.
